Wild flowers on Ham Rong Mountain

Ham Rong tourist area – SaPa is about 150 ha in large, it has developed completely its original features, and visitor can easily find the nature of mossy Rocky Mountains and old peach trees (20-30 years). The further height you go, the more surprise you get to be urged into discovery.

There are more than 6000 pots of about 200 kinds of orchid showing off their beauty during the year. They are included by many kinds of endemic orchid such as: Kiem Tran Mong, Kiem Thu, Lan Tieu…

Tourist also have chance to see many kinds of flower, original European trees at Europe Garden, Cam Tu Cau, Huong Duong flowers with 30 cm in diameter and many Anh Dao – Japanese trees are blooming brightly.

Impressively, San May (Cloudy Garden) is placed at the height of 1800m where you can have a nice sight of the whole mysterious image of SaPa valley. It hides after white cloud floating away. This is the place where you can take beautiful photographs of the whole Sa Pa. Next to May garden is Thien Thach Lam, an immense area, there is rocky stratum with various shapes altering each others.

  On the way to Cong Troi (God Gate), if you look ahead, there will be a blue space of the immense sky. Looking back, sky is covered by white cloud. Next, passed over the Cong Troi 1 and standing at Cong Troi 2 at 1700m in height, you are able to see the mountain as a Dragon’s head.

The entrance of Tam Mon Cave allows only one person to pass over; afterward it opens out a large firmament. A zone of campaign is placed here with special fruit trees of the North West of Viet Nam, such as peach, pear, plum …

Along the way to the higher, you may see many minority peoples: a Dao people’s girls go up to find medicinal plant on mountain or an H’mong’s girls go down the town with very motley tradition dresses.

The people in ethnic villages will introduce tourist traditional house, local custom and native culture in their community of many ethnic groups living together in the valley such as: H'mong den, Dao do, Tay…
